Lew Villotti

Lew Villotti is the President of CED where he has been since September of 2019. Born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania, Lew began his professional career working for the Washington County Planning Commission in Washington, PA, were he spent nearly nine years, the last two as the Assistant Director. Lew is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s in Urban Affairs and a Masters in Geography and Regional Planning, and prior to joining CED served as the Planning and Development Director for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) and Vice President of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation. His primary responsibility in that position was implementing federal, state and regional economic development initiatives for the 10 County Southwestern Pennsylvania Region. Lew also held previous positions as Transportation Program Manager at SPC and was a Project Manager for Michael Baker Corporation. Lew has also served as a peer consultant for the Federal Highway Administration’s scenario planning initiatives in Birmingham, Alabama; Newark, New Jersey; and Richmond, Virginia. Lew lives in Avella, Pennsylvania with his wife Beth and daughter Maria, where he is an active member of the community and has served on the board of the Independence Cross Creek Joint Sewer Authority and coached soccer for 12 years.

Edward Nemeth

Ed Nemeth is a Vice President at CED where he has worked since February of 2020. Before CED, Ed worked at the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission as a manager of the Business Finance Assistance Program and also spent five years as a senior loan officer for the Washington County Council on Economic Development. Before this, he was also employed with PNC bank, GE Capital Modular Space, and Washington Financial Services. Ed obtained an associate’s degree in accounting and legal studies from the Computer Systems Institute and is a member of CMU/Heinz Business School, ARC Advisory Board Committee, and panel for the Small Business Academy. At CED, Ed assists with the loan program, grant applications, the Prep/Engage! program, and Westgate Business Park. He also assists companies with KOZ, KIZ, and EZP tax credits.

Nick Francalancia esq

 

Nick Franacalanica has been the solicitor for CED since 1983. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Lock Haven University in 1971 and went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. Because of this, he was then admitted to start practicing law in October of 1974. Nick is a member of the Beaver County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Angela Franks

Angela Franks is the Business Manager at CED where she has worked since November of 2019. Before coming to CED, she was employed at Derse Inc. for fourteen years where she worked her way up to be Office Manager. Angela has her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration degree from Robert Morris University.

Rebecca Holt

Rebecca Holt is a Project Management Specialist at CED where she has worked since October of 2021. Rebecca obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in marketing in 2019 and went on to also obtain her Master of Business Administration degree, both from Robert Morris University. Before CED, she was employed at Dick’s Sporting Goods for 4 years where she worked her way up to Administrative Assistant. At CED, Rebecca assists with the marketing efforts.
